On to the “Zimmerwald Conference 2.0” on 6 September 2025 in Zurich!

Call of the Consultative Committee of the United Front

The time is ripe for an international exchange of opinions and experiences as well as joint action against fascism and war!

In the midst of daily new worldwide hotbeds of war and the danger of a nuclear third world war and a worldwide fascist wave, we say: We will not stand by and watch! Protests are taking place in many countries. What is needed is for them to coordinate internationally and work together!

That's why we invite you!

Inspired by the Zimmerwald Conference in 1915, which was attended by a broad spectrum of opponents of the policy of domestic truce, from pacifists to Lenin and the Bolsheviks, it has a broad focus. The remarkable thing about 1915 was that the clear positioning in a strategy discussion from the point of view of each individual organization against the war and against cooperation with those in power ultimately ended in a consensus resolution. We have been inspired by this to update the clear position taken at that time against any policy of domestic truce for today. To this end, we would like to win over as many supporters as possible from the progressive democratic and anti-imperialist peace movement.

The conference is organized as a “hybrid” seminar - with the option of both face-to-face and online participation.

It will take place as a one-day discussion seminar among anti-war activists on an anti-fascist basis, divided into content-related blocks with impulse contributions and subsequent open discussion.

Write your opinion on the proposed blocks and apply for impulse contributions! The selection of speakers should reflect the spectrum of the movement.
